PR106/PR47 represents a long-grain Non-Basmati rice variety. While sharing similarities with IR 64 rice, it distinguishes itself with a slightly longer grain size than IR 64. This rice variant is predominantly consumed in its parboiled form. The cultivation of PR106 is concentrated in North India, particularly in the regions of Punjab and Haryana.
